Side Pirate Boat with Toddlers and Babies: Fares and Practical Tips
Small children change the arithmetic and the planning. This page covers both: who pays what on each day, what to pack for the very youngest, and how to get a toddler through about 6 hours on the water.
Short answer
Children under 2 ride free on both pirate days. From 2, the two days part ways: the pirate boat trip charges €14 for ages 2 to 10, while the kids' pirate programme charges every guest from 2 the same €23. For babies, pack everything your little one needs for the day.
What each age pays
| Age | Pirate boat trip | Kids' pirate programme |
|---|---|---|
| Under 2 | Free | Free |
| From 2 to 10 | €14 | €23 |
| 11 and over | €20 | €23 |
The kids' programme has no child fare. From 2, the toddler and the parent pay the same.
Babies: what to plan for
Both days take children under 2 free of charge.
Plan as if you are bringing everything yourself — food, nappies, a changing mat — and you will not be caught short. If a cot, a high chair or a seat of their own decides whether you come, ask on WhatsApp (+90 536 603 75 84) ahead of booking and we will check with the crew.
Which day suits a toddler
For a child just over 2, the price difference is the first thing to notice. The pirate boat trip charges them the lower child fare; the kids' programme charges them the full €23, like everyone else.
The content matters too. The pirate boat trip is a coast cruise with swim stops, costumes and a treasure hunt — a day a toddler can dip in and out of from your arms. The kids' programme is a run of organised activity: face painting, a treasure map, a tug-of-war, the chase after the pirate Ferhat, then a party in the foam with music. A confident toddler may love it; a shy one may spend much of it watching.
Our pirate boat or kids' programme guide compares the two in full.
Getting a small child through the day
- Parents stay with their children throughout. With a toddler, that means within arm's reach on deck and in the water.
- Sun is the main challenge: high-SPF sun cream, a hat that stays on, and a cover-up for the hours between swims.
- Pack more nappies and wipes than you would for a day at the pool, plus swim nappies if your child uses them.
- Bring familiar snacks and a drink for the transfer. Lunch is in the fare, but a hungry toddler does not always wait politely for it.
- A light blanket or muslin doubles as shade, a nap cover and a towel.
- Think about where a nap can happen; a carrier or a lap may be the answer.
The packing list for the whole family is in what to bring.
Health and the water
We cannot give medical assurances, and nobody should on a booking site. If your child has a condition you are unsure about, tell us before you book; the crew decides on the day, and you decide for your child.
Decide in advance how you will handle the swims. On the kids' programme the swim happens where the river's cold water runs into the warm sea — something to know if your child is sensitive to cold water. On the pirate boat trip the swim stops are in the sea.
