Side Pirate Boat Extra Costs: What the Fare Does Not Cover
Both fares cover the transfer, the boat, the entertainment and lunch. Each day then leaves three things for you to pay for if you want them. Here they are, honestly, without prices we do not have.
Short answer
On the pirate boat trip, the fare does not cover extra drinks, personal spending or tips. On the kids' pirate programme, it does not cover drinks from the onboard bar, snacks beyond the lunch menu, or the professional photos and video. Ask the price on board before you buy. Hotel transfers are never an extra on either day.

Drinks
Start with drinks. On the pirate boat trip, extra drinks are not in the fare; on the kids' programme, anything from the bar on board — soft drinks or alcohol — is paid separately.
Two practical steps keep this under control: ask the price before you order, and carry a bottle of water per child in your own bag for the drive. More on the meals themselves in the lunch guide.
Photos and video on the kids' programme
During the animations — the face painting, the games and the foam party — professional photos and video are taken. Buying them is your choice and is paid separately. Ask the team on the day about the price and how you receive them before you commit.
Your own phone or camera is welcome on both days; the pirate boat trip's notes even suggest bringing one.
Snacks, tips and personal spending
On the kids' programme, the lunch menu is spaghetti, chicken fingers and fish fingers. Anything beyond that menu counts as an extra snack.
On the pirate boat trip, tips are not part of the fare. Whether and how much to tip is entirely up to you; nobody on our side sets an amount. The same goes for personal expenses — whatever you choose to buy for yourself on the day.
What is never an extra
Several costs are simply in the fare. On both days the air-conditioned ride from your hotel and back is included, in every area of the Side belt — see the hotel pickup page. Lunch is included on both. On the pirate boat trip, the children's costumes are provided. On the kids' programme, face painting is free and every guest is covered by travel insurance for the trip.
Booking is free and nothing is taken in advance: you settle up in euros once you are actually travelling. If plans change, cancelling 48 or more hours before costs nothing. Every fare is on the prices page.
